The Woodland Trust is the UKs leading charity dedicated solely to the protection of our native woodland heritage. The Trust works through a combination of acquiring and then managing woodland and sites for planting, according to their woodland management principles, and wider advocacy on matters of policy and practice which will improve the future for the UKs native woodlands and their biodiversity.

The Trust now has over 1000 sites in their care covering 20,000 hectares, most of which are open for public access.
