Warren Farm Centre was set up to provide education and training resources in most land based industries: agriculture, horticulture, horse care, game keeping, floristry, agricultural mechanics and nature conservation. It is part of the West Oxfordshire College and sited on a commercial working farm. Conservation interests are served by its woodland, ponds and other sites of wildlife interest that are currently being enhanced under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
Activities and services:
Charged NVQ courses include:
- Environmental Conservation Landscapes and Eco Systems
- Rural skills (e.g. forestry, estate maintenance, game-keeping) with Conservation
- A variety of short courses (charged) including hedge laying, dry-stone walling, etc
- Tailored courses on rural skills can be arranged for other groups (charged)
