Vale of the White Horse Conservation Group

The Vale of the White Horse Conservation Group exists to involve people of South and West Oxfordshire in practical conservation work of community value. There is no membership - the group operates merely as an informal gathering of like-minded individuals with mutual objectives and interests (consumption of chocolate biscuits included!).

Activities and services:

Opportunities for practical conservation work - contributions can be as strenuous and as frequent as desired, with the emphasis on enjoyment and learning rather than hard work:
  • Hedge laying
  • Post and wire fencing
  • Woodland work, etc
  • Seek to work with other conservation groups/parishes in identifying conservation task
