Shotover Wildlife

A voluntary organisation working in the local community to inspire people to get involved in the wildlife of their area, and to contribute to local biological recording.

Activites and Services:

  • Species recording and monitoring, with reporting of results.
  • Conservation work supervision, including Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme 'Community Service'.
  • Assistance with identification skills.
  • Identification of flora, including grasses and brophytes (mosses and liverworts), and some invertebrate groups.
  • Talks for societies and schools.
  • Site tours.
  • practical projects
  • Student project supervision and assistance.
  • Comprehensive and up-to-date wildlife information on Shotover Hill and Brasenose Wood SSSI.

Shotover Hill and surrounding area and various sites county-wide.
