The Ramblers Charity no.:306089
In addition to promoting rambling and the protection of rights of way, one of the Association's principle objects as set out in its constitution, is the preservation and enhancement for the benefit of the public of the beauty of the countryside. In furtherance of this there is a network of volunteer countryside secretaries across the country, with support from the central office, who lobby for environmental improvements and campaign against developments which will be detrimental to the landscape of the countryside and its flora and fauna.
