The Countryside Services department  promotes nature conservation and enjoyment oft the natural environment in and around Oxford.

 

Activities and services:

A team of 4 rangers manage 900 acres of countryside in and around Oxford, including:

  • Shotover Country Park
  • Port Meadow (a 300 acre grazing common)
  • Twenty nature parks and reserves
  • several Sites of Specific Scientific Interest
  • a wide range of habitats and landscapes.
