Oxfordshire City CouncilOxford City Council

Oxford City Council has a well developed Nature Conservation Strategy. Its Countryside Services department takes an active role in conserving the City's 12 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). It is developing an Action Plan for another 43 sites which are of significant but lesser wildlife interest - Sites of Local Importance for Nature Conservation (SLINCs).
