Hawk and Owl trustHawk and Owl Trust

The Trust is dedicated to conserving wild birds of prey, working closely with farmers, landowners and keepers, as well as ornithologists and other environmental groups. It researches, restores and manages their nesting, roosting and feeding habitats and encourages greater understanding and appreciation of native owls, hawks, eagles and falcons. The Barn Owl Conservation Network (BOCN) of interested volunteers is a project of the Hawk and Owl Trust.

Activities and services:

M NL (an annual journal and newsletters)
  • Management advice to landowners, organisations, local authorities, etc on wild birds of prey and owls
  • Sale of information books and other Trust goods
  • Advice on schemes and grants which can assist in habitat restoration/management
  • Illustrated talks can be organised
  • Education
  • School facilities available in Buckinghamshire (ring for details)
  • Advice leaflets on constructing owl lofts, planning advice for local developers and local authorities, habitats, etc.
  • Teaching aids for schools and other groups
  • Workshops and scientific conferences (national, not locally)
