The Game Conservancy Trust is an independent wildlife conservation charity which carries out research into game and its associated species and habitats. It is supported by 25,000 members and spends some £2.1 million annually in pursuit of its charitable objectives. It has 60 scientists based at Fordingbridge, and its study centres throughout the country. The Trust's main areas of interest include farmland, moorland, and woodland conservation, river and habitat restoration, disease, predation control and education.

Activities and services:

M NL Game Conservancy Ltd, the advisory, education and trading arm of the Trust provides the following activities and services:
  • Advice on all aspects of sustainable game and countryside conservation
  • Courses on a wide range of topics which are specifically tailored to the local environment
  • County groups provide a wide range of activities of interest to members and guests, for example, shoot visits, meetings with invited guest speakers.
