The Abingdon Naturalist's Society aims to foster interest in natural history and to encourage wildlife conservation. The Society collects natural history records, and members
contribute nature notes to the local newspapers. Meets in the last Wednesday of most months except July and August, in Classroom M110 Mercer's Court, Abingdon School, Park Road, Abingdon at 7.30 pm.
Activities and services:
- Field meetings covering a wide range of subjects throughout the year
- Management advice for ESSO nature reserve
- Talks on nature, nature conservation and allied topics
- Social meetings, providing useful network of natural historians
- Speakers available, natural history, birds, fungi, butterflies, plants, etc
