Neil has worked previously at environmental education centres in Oxford, the Brecon Beacons, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, as an outdoor learning leader, as well as managing land for nature conservation, and advising schools on wildlife areas. “I have been passionate about wildlife and nature conservation since childhood. I have been leading working holidays for the National Trust for twenty years, have an MSc in Rural Resource Management, recently completed a Diploma in Environmental Conservation, and am now working on a Certificate in Biological Recording and Species Identification. Clare like Cynth comes from a farming community but her background is in charity fundraising.'I grew up in the countryside and after spending over 10 years working in the fundraising sector in London felt it was time to move back to the country. My past jobs with marketing agencies mean that I have a wide experience of fundraising for charities and to bring my conservation knowledge up to speed, I finished a Diploma in Environmental Conservation in September 2005.' Cynth is from a farming community with a lifelong interest in nature conservation. 'My first practical involvement was with the Oxford Conservation Volunteers and BBOWT back in the mid seventies. Nowadays I manage a local Nature Reserve and local after several sites in my home parish. I have an undergraduate certificate in Countryside Conservation and am currently working towards an Open University BSc in Natural Sciences.' |
