Hilary has life-long interests in both wildlife and the arts, studied for a Masters in Illustration at the Royal College of Art in the 1980's and more recently achieved a MSc Ecology and Management of the Natural Environment with distinction from the University of Bristol. She has a particular interest in bats (as a volunteer bat warden, committee member and trainer for North Bucks Bat Group), botany (with a background in wildlife gardening and volunteer surveyor with BBOWT) and woodlands.She joins ONCF after running a one-year HLF funded project with Aylesbury Vale District Council which focused on increasing community engagement with local biodiversity.
She is currently employed on a 12 month contract developing a Local Nature Partnership and continuing the county's biodiversity work though Conservation Target Areas.

Her job entails, fundraising, organising events and meetings, producing the Forum News and planning any events that will be of use and interest to our members.
Clare like Cynth comes from a farming community but her background is in charity fundraising.'I grew up in the countryside and after spending over 10 years working in the fundraising sector in London felt it was time to move back to the country. My past jobs with marketing agencies mean that I have a wide experience of fundraising for charities and to bring my conservation knowledge up to speed, I finished a Diploma in Environmental Conservation in September 2005.'

She is responsible for all the community projects and produces the weekly email Bulletin and all in 3 days (usually Wednesday to Friday).
Cynth is from a farming community with a lifelong interest in nature conservation. 'My first practical involvement was with the Oxford Conservation Volunteers and BBOWT back in the mid seventies. Nowadays I manage a local Nature Reserve and local after several sites in my home parish. I have an undergraduate certificate in Countryside Conservation and am currently working towards an Open University BSc in Natural Sciences.'
